In my hub I have included an office for the three teachers. In the office I have put a sofa for the teachers to talk to each other and I have put three tables and chairs so they get a table and a chair to work. I have positioned the office in the main room so the teachers can keep an eye on the students. I have put a door so the teachers can listen to the children in the main room and also get some peace and quiet when they want it.

I have also included a little corridor. In the corridor I have included two big double doors

and two little normal doors. I have positioned it in the middle of the the hub so you can get from one room to the other.

I have also included a main room. In the main room I have put tables and chairs so the student can sit down and do their work, three mat areas were the teachers will teach a third of the class each. The main room is the biggest room so it can fit 75 student in it.

I have also included a computer room. In the computer room I have put 10 computers. I have positioned it so when they finish their work they can go straight to the library. I have also positioned it by the library so the student that are on the computers next can wait at the library.

I have also included a library. In the library I have put three blue bean bags for relaxing, books and 6 chair to read books in it. I have positioned my library by my computer room so you can wait for your turn. I have put a tv in the library to watch sports. If there is a sporting event on we can all watch this and learn about the sport together (Olympics, athletics).

I have also included an art room, art stands and art gear holders. I have put lino on the ground so the paint does not stain. I have positioned it so it is close to the main room so you can get there quick.

I feel the sand sticking to my feet.

I feel my heart beating as fast as a jack rabbit can run because I am so nervous.

I see my poppa cheering me on.

I see more sporty students surrounding me like little minions.

I hear celebrations from my mates as they win their sprint race across from me.

I hear people screaming ‘go Kieran, you can do it and you will win’.

I taste sand filling my mouth as I land.

I taste the air in my throat as I race to the mat.

Leap

I feel balls zooming past everybody and smashing in to my face.

I feel the wind of the wild creatures surrounding me.

I smell rotten sweat from human arm pits flying through the air.

I smell the sweet icecream mixing with the sweaty smell.

I see 3 dodgeballs zoom past my face as fast as a rocket ship.

I see 60 rocket launchers launch me high above everyone.

I hear the voices of excitement spreading like wild fire.

I hear people crying because they don’t want to leave.

I wonder if I’ll ever go back there again?

I wonder who will take me back to leap?

On the 11 of October 2014 I went to the gordonton market...

Well that not what the story is about. The story is about what I bought at the market. Befor I tell you what I bought at the market

I need to ask you a question . Do you know what black tomatos are? …. thought not.

I bought a black tomato plant, soap and some lollies.  Today I planted the black tomato in a pot on the deck.  I now have to remember to water it every day.  Do you think that I will be able to remember to water the plant?  I don’t think so.

Had a fun time going shooting yesterday afternoon

with Sheamus, Stuart and mum. We all shot a rabbit but Stuart didn’t. I tried to use the 12 gage shotgun my brother said I would fly back but I stayed still. It had a little kick back but that didn’t bother me. Stuart has a auto .22lr rifle, non auto .22lr rifle and a 12 gage shotgun. I use all of them.

There was a young man called Fred

he had a young boy called Ted.

He went to go see a young lad

that had a big pad.

He had the pad because to clean his bench down

so he doesn't have to take it all the way down town.

Tuesday the 30th of September 2014

I went to jump. If You are wondering what jump is. It is a big trampoline. There are 60 trampolines in the main area, 3 trampolines for the foam pit, 2 trampolines for the basketball hoop and 12 trampolines for the dodgeball court. You should take a drink bottle. It is hard work.

Monday the 29 of September

I went to leap. You ask what leap is.Well it is basically a big trampoline.

It has a basketball hoop and foam pit that you jump in. I did a backflip, a frontflip and a shooting star into the foam pit. There is a big trampoline with trampoline walls. You also play dodgeball. I suggest that you take a drink. It is tiring.

Because if they fly around the bay they will be baygulls.

Because he wanted to see a butterfly.

Wild animals

Don’t you like going to the zoo and seeing smart funny animals? Isn’t it fun and amazing being able to see animals you wouldn’t normally see? I strongly believe that animals should be kept zoos for everyone to see and enjoy.

Firstly, zoos work together to help the animal to keep them safe and make sure that  they don't become extinct.If the animals are in the wild the species might go extinct so the zoos work together so that does not happen.  Zoos help animals to breed so the species does not become extinct.  

Secondly, people can see animals they would never be able to see in the wild. Zoos have animals like lions and tigers which are from Africa.  We wouldn’t normally be able to see them because Africa is so far away. But zoos allow us to see these animals.  

Lastly, the animals enclosures reflect their natural habitat. They have grass, trees and look like the wild so the animal can survive and are happy.

Zookeeper clean the animals enclosures and make sure that the animals are healthy and get to eat whenever they want.

I think that wild animals should be kept in zoos because zoos work together to keep the animals safe, people can see animals they would never see and the animal enclosures reflect their natural habitat. As you can see, I am obviously right!

Goodbye to the fluffy, hot clothing that keeps me warm.

Hello to the cold, skinny clothing that are not fluffy any more.

This term, I learnt: how to write a persuasive piece of writing. Persuasive writing is meant to persuade the reader to your point.

The thing I enjoyed the most this term: is math it was fun because Emma came in the my class and she is my cousin. !!!awesome!!!

I am most proud of maths whizz because I have achieved heaps.

Super Silly Slime

Ingredient:

• Psyllium husks
• Boiling water
• food coloring

Equipment:

• ½ cup
• 1 plasticspoon  
• 1 polystyrene cup

Steps:

1. Put 2 teaspoons of psyllium husk in the polystyrene cup.

2. Put ½ cup of boiling water in with the psyllium husk.

3. Put two drops of food coloring.
4. Mix until it is thickened and wait till cold.
5. When cold get it out of the polystyrene cup and play.

How to make ice cream in a bag

Serves 1 person

Ingredients:

• ½ Cup of milk
• Tbsp of caster sugar
• tsp of vanilla essence (any flavorings)
• 6 Tbsp of salt

Equipment:

• 1 Small ziplock bag (sandwich size)
• 1 Big zip lock bag
• Measuring cups (½, 1)
• 1 tsp
• 1 Tbsp
• A eating spoon to eat with

Steps:

1. Grab the small zip lock bag.

2. Then fill your small zip lock bag with milk, vanilla essence and caster sugar. Seal the bag.

3. Grab the big zip lock bag and fill the bag with ice. Add the salt to the ice and put the small zip lock bag in the big zip lock bag, seal the bag.

4. Shake the bag for 10-15 mins.

5. Eat and enjoy.

How to make black sago

Serves 8

Ingredient:

1 Cup of sago

¼ of a cup of sugar  

1 Cup of sultanas

1 Cup of currents

1 tsp of vanilla

4-6 Cups of water (start with 4 cups of water then add more if required)  

1 slow cooker

1. Put all ingredient in slow cooker and stir.

2. Stir regularly till sago is clear.

3. Eat and enjoy.

My Week

I enjoyed going out for pe on thursday

because we played ripper bullrush.  I enjoyed learning about the game because I hadn’t played it before.  

My goal is to finish my persuasive writing.  I am really happy with what I have written so far.

The most challenging thing for me this week was trying to get to the end line in ripper bullrush without getting my tags ripped off.

My Holiday

In the holiday I went to my friends grandparents. We went down the farm. The fun part was crashing in to a bull and I thought it was a little bit scary but also exciting. Now I know you need to stop a bull when it is about to barge into another bull because otherwise they might get hurt.

In maths I was pleased because with our multiplication brain warm up I got more than I normally get, I got 57. 

My Portrait

I had to do four pieces of my face. One was paint, one was pastel, one was collage and the last piece I did was coloured pencil.  The most difficult part was making my collage because I had to make it look realistic and just like me.  I enjoyed doing the paint piece the most because I really like using this kind of media.  Overall, I am really happy with my portrait because it looks just like me and I worked really hard on it.
